The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation
The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation has been a consistent contributor to the camp, and on Monday camp directors honored the foundation by officially naming the onsite athletic field, "New England Patriots Field."
Josh Kraft, president of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation and New England Patriots jerseys Executive Director of Community Affairs, Andre Tippett were on hand for the field dedication, which was presented by Camp Harbor View President, Jack Connors Jr. and camp director, Cara Gould.
Camp Harbor View provides children ages 11 to 14 living in Boston neighborhoods a chance to escape from the city and have a true summer camp experience. Two four-week sessions in July and August encourage the kids to build their confidence and leadership skills while also enjoying summer activities, such as hiking, swimming and engaging in sports. Each child can attend the camp for just $5 per session and transportation to and from the city is included for no additional cost.'
"Words cannot describe how good Camp Harbor View Wes Welker is for those kids that have the opportunity to spend the summer there," Tippet said. "Coming from their environment, it is a great safe haven for them."
The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation is the non-profit organization established by the Kraft family in 1994 to support charitable and philanthropic agencies throughout New England.
The Patriots had an odd 2009 campaign; they won their division but never felt like Jerod Mayo the dominating Patriots of old. Heading into this 2010 training camp, the Patriots have 12/1 odds to win the Super Bowl.
Tom Brady played solid in his return from leg surgery. His numbers look great—though a far cry from his 50-touchdown year in 2007—but he was definitely off the mark at times. He should be better with another offseason of recovery under his belt.
Teel was released by the Seattle Seahawks on May 21 and then claimed off waivers by the New England Patriots jerseys. The former Rutgers quarterback was released three weeks later.
Teel was a sixth-round draft pick in 2009 by then-Seahawks general manager Tim Ruskell, who now is the Bears' personnel director. He played in all four preseason games for the Seahawks last year and completed 20 of 41 passes for 238 yards with three touchdowns and one interception (81.1 passer rating)

Indianapolis Colts are the Team that Time Forgot
Fisher was also a decent kick returner, and could bring some of his returning to the table with Indy.
Fisher has been playing near Indy his whole life: from being born in Cleveland, Ohio and then take about a three-hour drive to play for the Hoosiers in Bloomington. It's a pretty good story and he now is playing for the Colts football jerseys.
I see him adding depth to the squad at corner. Maybe he could play multiple positions. Do a bit of receiving, too.
The contract was a four-year, $1.83 million deal, along with a $41,500 signing bonus.
The 5'9", 189-pounder had averaged nearly 40 yards per kick return Anthony Gonzalez with IU, along with two touchdowns. All of this on only 18 returns.
Training camp starts on August 1st, and that's where all the players need to report.
In many ways, the new Indianapolis Colts jerseys are the Team that Time Forgot. Each year, they take their future Hall-of-Fame quarterback (who just might be the best ever at his position), match him with interchangeable receivers and a questionable offensive line, pair that with a defense that springs holes against the run, and then roll off anywhere from 12 to 14 wins. A Super Bowl win is always a possibility, and so is a playoff collapse. What does not seem to be an option as long as Peyton Manning(notes) draws breath is mediocrity. Every year they run more three-wide, single-back formations than any other NFL team; every year they split Dallas Clark(notes) out wider more often; and every year the play-to-play adjustments are spit out of Manning's head as if by computer.

Indianapolis Colts 2010 Super Bowl Predictions
NFL Predictions Offense: The Colts' offensive line allowed a league-low 13 sacks last season, that number says a lot more about Manning than it does about the line: aside from center Jeff Saturday, the entire line is a mess. Due to Manning's abilities within the pocket, the line gets credit for being one of the best in the league, but the argument could be made that their offensive line is one of the worst. Apart from sacks, a more accurate indicator of the Colts' offensive line is the performance of their running game, which was dead last in yards per game in 2009. Although the line play was flat-out horrendous at times, the Colts' skill position players compensated for this with their speed. Joseph Addai is able to use his speed to make cuts and jukes to avoid defenders in the backfield and he frequently makes plays out of nothing. The Colts' receivers are too fast to cover, and rookie wide receiver Austin Collie showed a nose for the football last year by making defenders miss him after the catch. With the return of injured Anthony Gonzalez, the Colts' receiving corps will consist of four receivers who would arguably each be the top receiver on most teams in the NFL. (Reggie Wayne, Austin Collie, Pierre Garcon). The 2010 Indianapolis Colts' AFC South Odds to win the division are at -160.
NFL Predictions Defense: On defense, the Colts chose speed over size. While defensive ends Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney have above-adequate strength for their position, what really sets them apart from everybody else in the league is their blazing speed at their positions. Indianapolis's defense improved last year with the great play of fourth-year linebacker Gary Brackett. Brackett was a solid but athletic tackler who excelled at wrapping up the ball-carrier in the event the runner got past the swarm of defenders around the hole created by the offensive line. The Colts made sure to re-sign Brackett this offseason. Cornerbacks Tim Jennings and Marlin Jackson signed free-agent deals elsewhere, so depth at corner could be a concern. Otherwise, the Colts' defense is well-suited for stopping passing teams, but not ready to shut down any top-tier rushing attacks. The Indianapolis Colts' Win Total is at 11 with the under at -135.
The tour goes around to cities in the state allowing fans to get autographs from both Colts Donald Brown players and cheerleaders. The event also included a moon bounce, a football throw, and a traveling museum about the history of the Colts team. Both fans and players were excited about the opportunity.
"It's double fun here, school and the team," said fan and Harrison College student Bambi Mills.
"They support us so much that its fun to come back and to give back to the community," said Colts running back Mike Hart.
"Harrison College believes in giving back to the community and this is an event that allows us to do it in a big way," said President of Harrison College, Tim Parsons.

Home of the Indianapolis Colts
Lt. Jeffrey Duhamell of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police said the victims' ages ranged age from Robert Mathis10 to 19. Most were taken to Wishard and Methodist hospitals and were listed in good condition Sunday. One was treated at the scene.
"We have to be mad as hell about this," said Charles Harrison, a United Methodist pastor who was standing a few feet from where the first shootings occurred. "This incident we cannot tolerate in our community."
Shots were fired in three locations after the conclusion of Saturday's events Reggie Wayne associated with the Expo, a 10-day event of entertainment, business networking and other activities.
Republican Mayor Greg Ballard and leaders of the Indianapolis community expressed outrage at the shootings. While stressing that the three shootings did not happen at any Expo-sanctioned events, they said the city will aggressively go after those who perpetrate violence at large public gatherings.
"Our job is to remove these people off the streets so that everybody can be safe here in the city of Indianapolis," Ballard said.
Duhamell said several shots rang out about 9:30 p.m. Saturday on Peyton Manning Maryland Street near Circle Center Mall, leaving eight people wounded and sending people running. He said a second shooting occurred minutes after the first and left one young man wounded in the leg. The third shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. and left another man wounded, he said.
"It's pretty unusual to have this many shots in one time," Duhamell said.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello confirmed via Twitter on Saturday afternoon that the Colts will be among seven teams featured on a training camp tour by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and Hall of Fame coach and former broadcaster John Madden.
"What a tribute to the city of Anderson, to Anderson University and to the Colts," city councilman Art Pepelea said.
Goodell and Madden will be riding the latter's luxury bus, dubbed the Madden Cruiser, over a period of six days in August.
Goodell's tour actually is slated to begin July 29 at the Green Bay Packers' annual shareholders' meeting. He'll then head to Louisiana on Aug. 2 for a visit with the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints.
Madden joins the tour Aug. 3 with a trip to the Philadelphia Eagles' training camp. The pair will then visit the Baltimore Ravens and Washington Redskins on Aug. 4 and the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns on Aug. 5.
The bus will then make a detour to Canton, Ohio, for the Pro Football Hall of Fame festivities Aug. 6.
The next day Goodell and Madden are slated to visit AU and the Indianapolis Colts before returning to Canton for the Hall of Fame induction ceremony later that evening.
AU vice president of finance Senna Landey said she could not confirm Goodell's visit, but she had heard rumors it was possible.
"If it were to happen, it would be a great honor," Landey said. "We'd look forward to hosting him just as we do all of our fans."
The Colts made no public response to Aiello's Twitter post Saturday.
The commissioner's schedule is tentative, but the plan likely is to include a stop in Anderson unless unforeseen complications arise.
Goodell hopes to speak with players, staff and fans at each stop.

The Colts impressive string of 12 wins per season
Wide receiver Terrell Owens said he'd "definitely be open" to playing for the Patriots. The 36-year-old wide receiver, currently a free agent, told WJMN Radio Wednesday morning that he'd welcome an opportunity to play in New England.
"I'd definitely be open to that," said Owens, who played with the Bills last season and caught 55 passes for 829 yards and five touchdowns.
"People think that they have that perception about me. Of course. Dwight Freeney Any receiver ... what receiver that's out there that's had great stats, great careers that didn't want the ball? I'm no different," Owens said. "But of course - I mean, you've got Brady there. You've got the great mind, coach Belichick.
"I'm like LeBron. I can go there and take less of a role, take less money and put everything aside and make it work."
Look, Terrell Owens is a great player, but I wouldn't be a fan of seeing him in a Patriots uniform. Anyone can say anything. Heck, I'll take a paycut to go play with LeBron and Wade in Miami or catch passes from Tom Brady. I promise, I'll take less of a role and be a good locker room guy. Plus, I've been working on my three point range.

A statement from Fred Taylor
The contract for a fourth union, which represents public works employees, expired last month and negotiations on a new one are underway.
A statement from Fred Taylor, bargaining chairman for the Grandville Environmental Employees Association, called it "unreasonable" to seek concessions when a three-year contract was just signed in December. He pointed instead to the revenue side of the ledger.
"The (union) understands that these concessions alone were not intended to solve the underlying budgetary concerns in whole for the city and pray that a more permanent solution to the state revenue sharing portion of the budget is found," Taylor wrote.
Under the police pacts, members get 3-percent pay raises effective this month. City Manager Ken Krombeen Jerod Mayo sent those unions letters asking to start negotiations on the next contracts.
"We'll sit down and meet with them and talk about it," said Will Keizer, labor representative for the Police Officers Labor Council. "We're not opposed to trying to help out with the city budget."
In the meantime, Krombeen wrote a letter to the unions saying general-fund deficits are expected "for the foreseeable future" due to decreasing property values, increasing costs and reductions in state revenue sharing. Grandville increased its property tax rate by 0.7-mill this month.
Still, the "probability of continued financial stress remains high" and "necessitates that all avenues for cost reduction be explored," he wrote. That includes mid-year layoffs and consolidation, privatization or elimination of public services. Changes to health benefits also will be explored.
One thing you will notice is that there aren't too many changes between April's version and July's version. Most of the changes you will see are via the depth chart, although, there are a few significant changes I'll talk about here.
As you can see, one significant change I have on the defensive side of the ball is the release of Damione Lewis. I could certainly be wrong with this one, as it could very well be Gerrard Warren that gets cut, but the point is the same. If both Damione Lewis and Gerard Warren are occupying roster spots, it takes away a roster spot for a young player. In this scenario, I have Brandon Deaderick making the squad and Lewis getting the boot. However, if a player like Ron Brace proves he can be a space eater like Gerrard Warren, a guy like Damione Lewis who could be a Randy Moss useful inside rusher could make the squad. I just don't see both of these veterans making the team.
At running back, in April, I had the team cutting Fred Taylor. While I still think the team could let go of Taylor or Morris (or Green-Ellis for that matter), I think this group might just be too injury prone to let go of any of these guys. Having five will give the team the luxury of enduring an injury or two, avoiding a 2008 situation where a rookie free agent is your starting tailback for a month.
Another change: special teamer Kyle Arrington making the squad over former second rounder Terrence Wheatley at cornerback. Is this a guarantee to happen? Absolutely not. But could it? Definitely. Terrence Wheatley is out of second chances.
I only have the Patriots keeping four outside linebackers. Woods is a tough cut as he brings experience and special teams prowess to the group. Crable could make the squad, but he needs to show something at training camp. The Patriots have a young prospect in Jermaine Cunningham, and Rob Ninkovich is young enough (and can also contribute on special teams). With players like Gary Guyton and Tyrone McKenzie in the fold and healthy and who can contribute on special teams, there's no reason to keep guys like Murrell and Crable. Brandon Spikes played some situational defensive end in college, so he could possibly play some outside linebacker as well. One injury can change all of this, of course.

New York Giants player
"This is really a day for them to come out and have some fun," said Joe Baierl, Columbus Youth Football commissioner.
The 21/2-hour camp featured eight stations where kids could play touch football, go through an obstacle course or work on kicking, blocking, running, tackling, passing and catching.
Youth football New York Giants jerseys coaches from such places as Stratford and Auburndale helped kids work on their skills.
Columbus sent out 1,700 invitations to students from schools including Eau Claire, Green Bay, Wausau, Wisconsin Rapids and Stevens Point.
Logan Carmichael, 11, of Marshfield, a fan of Seubert, said the best thing he learned at the camp was how to run and take positions.
"I play for Marshfield Tigers Youth Football," Logan said. "It's just something I want to get better at."
Seubert said the point of the event was to get the kids outside, away from video games.
"This is great, and a lot of them are getting into the game of football," Seubert said. "But if they learn anything today, it's to hustle and try hard."
It's anyone's ballgame in the NFC East this season.
Washington has a new coach, Philadelphia starts a new era without McNabb, and Dallas looks like they're ready to play.
The Giants jerseys know this and understand that every game against one of these teams is critical if they are serious about winning the division.
Of course, games played against non-divisional opponents cannot be taken lightly either.
Just as football games are won in the trenches, divisional titles are won during the less-hyped, non divisional games.

Indianapolis Colts
Bill Polian helped craft the salary cap rules in the 1990s, and he has made it known that he wants the salary cap to return, and from a fan's perspective I agree with him. The lack of overall, balanced competition in leagues like the MLB and the "soft cap" silliness of the NBA show us what the future of the NFL could be without a cap. Revenue sharing is also a vital piece of that puzzle, a piece that small markets like the Colts rely on to remain competitive against large markets like New York, Dallas, and San Francisco.
For the new Indianapolis Colts jerseys, it only makes sense to get a final deal done with Manning after the new CBA is approved. Hopefully, that new CBA should contain a hard cap because anything less likely destroys the great game of professional football. Until then, the two sides are ironing out the details on things that do not require a CBA to do.
On a side note, as I have screamed pontificated on all off-season, it's pretty clear Peyton is not happy with his current deal and wants a new one. Yet, despite the absence of a new deal this year, Peyton still attended OTAs, mandatory mini-camp, and he plans to be there for day one of training camp in roughly three weeks. This attitude is in stark contrast to Robert Mathis and Reggie Wayne. Like Peyton, these two want new deals. Unlike Peyton, they skipped out on OTAs, ditched mandatory mini-camp, likely received fines for their absence, and created an unnecessary distraction by not showing up for work they are contractually obligated to do.
The Internal Revenue Service insists the money should have been included in income by the franchise, owned for a quarter-century by auto dealer Thomas M. Benson Jr. The Tax Court case challenges that position.
The litigation only concerns one tax year, 2003. But news reports and bond financing documents concerning the Superdome say such large payments have been made regularly. A similar tax treatment position taken by the Saints in other years would have afforded the team cumulatively a substantial economic edge.
Neither the team nor its tax lawyer responded Tuesday to requests for comment.
According to the lawsuit, the $8.5 million was one of a series of "inducement payments" starting in 2001 for 10 years to keep the National Football League team in New Orleans. The lawsuit says, the money was to be used, among other things, to "acquire additional and higher-priced player contacts" to make the team "more competitive in the NFL."

2010 NFL Draft Needs of the Denver Broncos
Wide Receiver
The Denver Broncos will likely be trading Brandon Marshall this offseason and they have little behind him on the depth chart.
Eddie Royal disappeared last season after a wonderful rookie year, and Brandon Stokley is older and ineffective. If Dez Bryant is on the board when the Broncos pick, it will be awfully hard for them to pass him up.
Inside Linebacker
The Denver Broncos would love to find a young stud to play next to current stud DJ Williams. Andra Davis had a good 2009 season but some fresh legs would be welcomed. This is an area the Broncos could address somewhere in the first 3 rounds.
Quarterback
Kyle Orton and his disgusting facial mullet started the season on fire last year, but as expected regressed as it wore on. If they fall in love with Bradford or Clausen they could look at this position in the first round, otherwise expect them to grab a signal caller sometime in the middle rounds.
