The Colts impressive string of 12 wins per season

Peyton Manning was one completion away from a tying score against the Saints before a pick six ended their championship bid. The defeat dropped Peyton to an even 9-9 in the postseason prompting detractors to claim he has been ordinary in the playoffs. Still, when reviewing his career, I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of teams would have loved having such an ordinary signal caller. Joseph Addai is the face of Indy' rushing attack and has been since Edgerrin James plied his craft here but Addai can't claim the same type of success. As good as Manning is, he needs more production from his backfield and look for Donald Brown to get more opportunities should Addai show signs of faltering. Marvin Harrison no longer is the primary target of Manning, but his retirement opened the door for Reggie Wayne who has naturally taken over as the number one. With Pierre Garcon, Austin Collie and Anthony Gonzalez, Peyton has more than a few able body targets and all will get their share or opportunities. Tight end Dallas Clark looked like a wide receiver at times with over 1,100 yards on 100 receptions. The words to describe the offensive line are bigger and stronger as the Colts football jerseys had historically been small and quick. With the acquisition of G Andy Alleman and T Adam Terry, they've added nearly 350 pounds and rookie G Jacques McClendon (325 pds) and they appear to be serious about adding bulk. Ryan Diem is going no where at RT but Pro Bowler Jeff Saturday's tenure at center might be coming to an end.

Wide receiver Terrell Owens said he'd "definitely be open" to playing for the Patriots. The 36-year-old wide receiver, currently a free agent, told WJMN Radio Wednesday morning that he'd welcome an opportunity to play in New England.

"I'd definitely be open to that," said Owens, who played with the Bills last season and caught 55 passes for 829 yards and five touchdowns.

"People think that they have that perception about me. Of course. Dwight Freeney Any receiver ... what receiver that's out there that's had great stats, great careers that didn't want the ball? I'm no different," Owens said. "But of course - I mean, you've got Brady there. You've got the great mind, coach Belichick.

"I'm like LeBron. I can go there and take less of a role, take less money and put everything aside and make it work."

Look, Terrell Owens is a great player, but I wouldn't be a fan of seeing him in a Patriots uniform.  Anyone can say anything.  Heck, I'll take a paycut to go play with LeBron and Wade in Miami or catch passes from Tom Brady.  I promise, I'll take less of a role and be a good locker room guy.  Plus, I've been working on my three point range.
