The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation

The over 700 inner city Boston youths who attend Camp Harbor View in Quincy, Mass. each summer Monday have a new name for their playing fields.

The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation has been a consistent contributor to the camp, and on Monday camp directors honored the foundation by officially naming the onsite athletic field, "New England Patriots Field."

Josh Kraft, president of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation and New England Patriots jerseys Executive Director of Community Affairs, Andre Tippett were on hand for the field dedication, which was presented by Camp Harbor View President, Jack Connors Jr. and camp director, Cara Gould.

Camp Harbor View provides children ages 11 to 14 living in Boston neighborhoods a chance to escape from the city and have a true summer camp experience. Two four-week sessions in July and August encourage the kids to build their confidence and leadership skills while also enjoying summer activities, such as hiking, swimming and engaging in sports.  Each child can attend the camp for just $5 per session and transportation to and from the city is included for no additional cost.'

"Words cannot describe how good Camp Harbor View Wes Welker is for those kids that have the opportunity to spend the summer there," Tippet said. "Coming from their environment, it is a great safe haven for them."

The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation is the non-profit organization established by the Kraft family in 1994 to support charitable and philanthropic agencies throughout New England.

The Patriots had an odd 2009 campaign; they won their division but never felt like Jerod Mayo the dominating Patriots of old. Heading into this 2010 training camp, the Patriots have 12/1 odds to win the Super Bowl.

Tom Brady played solid in his return from leg surgery. His numbers look great—though a far cry from his 50-touchdown year in 2007—but he was definitely off the mark at times. He should be better with another offseason of recovery under his belt.

Teel was released by the Seattle Seahawks on May 21 and then claimed off waivers by the New England Patriots jerseys. The former Rutgers quarterback was released three weeks later.

Teel was a sixth-round draft pick in 2009 by then-Seahawks general manager Tim Ruskell, who now is the Bears' personnel director. He played in all four preseason games for the Seahawks last year and completed 20 of 41 passes for 238 yards with three touchdowns and one interception (81.1 passer rating)
